Synthetic analogues of the 1–29 or 1–44 sequence of human growth-hormone-releasing factor.
Human growth-hormone-releasing factor (hGRF, also GHRH) is a 44-residue peptide whose first 29 residues form the shortest fragment that retains the full sequence motif. Sermorelin is that 1–29 fragment as a C-terminal amide. CJC-1295 without DAC is the same 29-residue chain with four substitutions (D-Ala at position 2, Gln at 8, Ala at 15 and Leu at 27). Tesamorelin is the full 1–44 sequence with a trans-3-hexenoyl group on the N-terminus.
All three are produced by chemical synthesis. The blends CJC-1295 without DAC + Ipamorelin and Tesamorelin + Ipamorelin, which pair one of these with a pentapeptide, are listed under peptide blends.
