Logistics
How orders are packed and dispatched, what to do on receipt, and the conditions each item is stored under.
In-stock orders placed before 10:00 ET on a business day are dispatched the same day. Orders placed after that, or at a weekend or public holiday, go out on the next business day. Tracking details are emailed when the shipment is handed to the carrier.
Shipments are deliberately not dispatched on a Friday where the transit window would leave the package in a depot over a weekend. Where that applies, the order goes out on the following Monday.
Vials ship in protective packaging, secured against movement, and the outer carton carries no description of the contents beyond what the carrier requires. Move the contents to their stated storage condition when the shipment is received.
Measured on the order subtotal before discounts, and applied automatically at checkout — there is no code. Expedited and international carriage are charged at their listed rates on every order; the free-shipping threshold applies to domestic standard delivery only.
Cryo Labs ships within the United States and to these international destinations:
Import rules for research materials vary by destination and by compound. Every parcel carries an accurate customs declaration, and the buyer is the importer of record: a destination may refuse or seize a parcel it treats as a medicine, at the buyer's risk, and duties and taxes are the buyer's. Check your own country's rules before ordering. The address form only accepts listed countries.
Shipments go to a laboratory, institutional, or business address wherever possible. A delivery point with staffed receiving hours reduces the risk of a temperature- sensitive package sitting outside.
International orders. Every international parcel ships with a customs declaration that states the contents and their value accurately — we do not mark parcels as gifts or under-declare, and we will not on request. You are the importer of record: any import duty or tax your country charges is collected from you by the carrier or customs, and clearance is subject to your country’s rules. It is your responsibility to confirm, before ordering, that you may lawfully receive these materials. A shipment seized, refused, or returned by customs is not refundable.
01
Check the outer carton for crushing, puncture, or water damage. Note any damage on the carrier’s record at the point of delivery — it is materially harder to resolve a claim afterwards.
02
Move the contents to their stated storage condition as soon as the shipment is received rather than leaving the package in transit conditions.
03
Confirm the compound, size, and lot number on each vial against the packing list and the certificate of analysis. Query any mismatch before the material is used.
04
Damage, shortage, a warm package, or a documentation discrepancy should be reported within 48 hours of delivery, with the order number and photographs where relevant.
Every product page states the storage temperature for that item. Where the vial label and the product page differ, the vial label governs.
−20 °C
Lyophilised solids
Long-term storage condition for most catalogue items. A frost-free freezer that cycles through defrost is not equivalent — the temperature swings matter.
2–8 °C
Short working periods
Acceptable for short intervals where the product page states it.
Room temperature
Solvents and consumables
Where the product page states it. Keep out of direct sunlight.
