Synthetic hGH fragment analogue

AOD-9604 is a synthetic peptide corresponding to the carboxy-terminal fragment of human growth hormone, residues 176–191, with a tyrosine added at the amino terminus. The added tyrosine shifts the conventional numbering, which is why the same molecule appears in the literature and in supplier catalogues both as Tyr-hGH(177–191) and as an hGH fragment 176–191 analogue.
It contains the intramolecular disulfide bond of the parent fragment and is produced by chemical synthesis. It was developed at Monash University and characterised in the non-clinical literature from 2001.
